The Poco F5 series will be making its global debut tomorrow, but the company’s UAE branch jumped in and uploaded the two phones to its website today. So the specs and images of the Poco F5 and Poco F5 Pro have been revealed in full, and we’re just missing the prices, which will be confirmed tomorrow.
Poco F5 Pro
The Poco F5 Pro comes with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and three memory combinations. It might look familiar, and that’s because it’s essentially the China-only Redmi K60, but with Google Services and a slightly smaller battery.
The screen is 6.67-inch AMOLED with WQHD+ resolution – that’s 3200 x 1440 pixels at 526 ppi, the highest density ever for a Poco smartphone. The panel supports a 120 Hz refresh rate and a 480 Hz touch sampling rate. There’s a fingerprint scanner underneath and Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top.
The back has a 64MP main camera with Omnivision OV64B sensor, f/1.8 aperture and 6P lens, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter with 120-degree FoV, and a 2MP macro camera. The camera setup supports OIS+EIS, a feature not generally available on Poco devices that makes the F5 Pro a bit more appealing to camera enthusiasts.
The punch hole selfie shooter has a 16MP sensor but is limited to 1080p video recording.
Poco is quite proud of the 5000 square mm. LiquidCool VC, a mix of stainless steel vapor chambers and graphite layers to improve thermal conductivity by up to 15% compared to previous Poco F smartphones.
The Poco F5 Pro’s battery is listed as 5,160mAh, which is lower than the 5,500mAh cell on the Redmi K60, despite retaining 67W wired charging and 30W wireless charging. Operating system is Android 13 with MIUI 14 on top.
The Poco F5 Pro will be available in the UAE in white or black with a carbon imitation finish. Storage and RAM options are 8/256 GB, 12/256 GB and 12/512 GB. We’ll have to wait until tomorrow’s event to see if other markets get more colors and memory options.
Poco F5
The vanilla F5 has another Qualcomm chipset, but this time it’s the mid-range Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 which has one CPU at 2.9 GHz. Storage is 256 GB while RAM is 8 GB or 12 GB.
The Poco F5 has the same 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, although the resolution here is 1080p.
The rear camera setup consists of a 64MP unknown main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide unit and 2MP macro camera. OIS and EIS are still present, but the fact that the sensor isn’t attached suggests a downgrade compared to the Pro. The selfie camera specs read 16MP resolution and f/2.45 aperture.
The Poco F5 weighs only 181 grams with a profile of 7.9 mm. The battery of the Poco F5 is 5,000 mAh and supports 67W charging. Other features include Android 13 with MIUI 14 on top, NFC, IR blaster, NFC and Bluetooth 5.3.
If all these specs sound familiar, it’s because the hardware is shared with another China-only phone – the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Turbo.

The Emirati website has the phone in three colors – black, blue and the hero color white with “two-tone gradient offset printing” to mimic an icy design.
