Google Pixel 6a
The Google Pixel 6a is one of the best budget Android phones available today. This is a great buy even for the full $450, but if you can get it for $250 it’s even better. It has great performance, an above-average camera and generally great software.
The Google Pixel 6a is a fantastic budget phone and we really enjoyed testing this device. Given its price range, it wasn’t hard to make this particular model our favorite budget phone of 2022. At the regular price of $450, it’s already a great recommendation. But we’ve seen the Pixel 6a available for $250 before, making it an absolute bargain, and now it’s back to this low.
The $250 price tag comes with a small condition at Best Buy, which is “Activate Today.” Although the phone is fully unlocked, you do have to choose between one of the selected carriers during checkout. Best Buy lets you choose between Verizon, T-Mobile, Google Fi, and AT&T. If you want to gift the phone to someone else or just choose another carrier, you’ll have to pay $300 for the device. Of course, this is still a fantastic price.
What you’ll love about the Google Pixel 6a
If you want a phone that you can comfortably use with one hand, the Pixel 6a should be on your list. This phone has a 6.1-inch FHD+ display with a refresh rate of 60 Hz. The phone runs on the Google Tensor chip and has 6 GB of RAM and you get 128 GB of storage space for all your apps and photos. Speaking of photos, this phone has a 12 MP wide and 12 MP ultra-wide camera system on the back and an 8 MP selfie camera. Of course, it’s Google’s software that does the most magic here, because those photos are amazing!
The phone runs on a 4,400 mAh battery, so it should get you through a full day of use. If you want to play a lot on your phone, you should probably expect to plug it in at one point or another. Fortunately, we’ve all gotten used to fast charging these days, so you’ll have a full battery back in an acceptable time frame, or at least to a point that’s enough to get you through the day.
With the Pixel 6a back to its best price of $250 with Activate today and $300 without, you should really consider getting one of these. We promise it will fit in your pocket, unlike most phones these days. And since you’re saving quite a bit of money, you might also want to get a case for the Pixel 6a so you can rest assured you won’t need a replacement after the first serious fall.
