With the 2023 F1 season already underway, FormulaRapida.net has compiled a full list of the sponsors who joined or left teams last year.
It would be fair to say that Formula 1 would be nothing like it is today without the investment of sponsors and partners. Whether for drivers and teams, or for the sport itself, business partnerships are a win-win for a sporting competitor from a financial standpoint and for their own recognition and brand identification.
What are known as ‘sponsorship liveries’ first came to prominence around 1968, when F1 teams unanimously moved away from traditional national racing colors to designs orchestrated around sponsorship deals.
In modern Formula 1 there are many different avenues a sponsor can take to work with an F1 driver or team on a long or short term basis such as a technical partnership, a supplier partnership or an official brand partnership to name but a few. to call. The type of alliance is often kept secret, but all teams publish full lists of their official partnerships which are constantly changing as deals are signed and contracts expire.
The list excludes some of the drivers’ personal partners/suppliers and is only correct at the time of writing – updates will be made later in the year:
