Before the series appeared on Netflix, the series was on Lifetime. However, when Netflix picked up the series as an original, the streaming service’s global reach helped push You’s popularity to the stratosphere, and it’s been one of Netflix’s most popular crime dramas ever since.

The first half of the fourth season has accumulated only 183,880,000 million hours watched since its release, dropping out of the global top ten in its fourth week.
It should be noted that many fans made it clear online that they would not watch the fourth season until all ten episodes were available. Not to mention, some fans have taken the opportunity to use the countdown to Part 2’s release to watch the series all over again.
In total, all four seasons have accumulated more than 1 billion hours of viewing on Netflix. But when you consider that Netflix has only been releasing weekly data since Q3 2021, if you add in the Season 2 viewing data, it brings the viewing stats to over 1.5 billion hours of viewing. The total viewing hours is even higher when you consider that the ratings for the first season were never released, except that the series had 40 million viewers.
Once we have viewing data in the coming weeks, we can speculate further about a possible renewal for the fifth season. We still expect the series to be renewed as we feel that the fifth season could be the series’ last.

For the second time in his life, the power and money of Joe’s other half’s family have kept him from facing the consequences of his crimes. Thanks to Kate inheriting her father’s fortune and business, Joe now has access to almost unlimited resources.
This means that if Joe were to kill again, it would take very little to sweep everything under the rug.
Joe has embraced his dark self
Always imagining himself as the hero of his own story, Joe has worked tirelessly to fight the dark side of his personality. The attempt to distance himself from his actions was so strong, it resulted in a nervous breakdown that caused Joe to hallucinate a manifestation of the dark side of himself.

Will Joe now kill for fun?
Logically, apart from someone threatening him or Kate, Joe has no further justification for killing anyone. However, this is Joe we’re talking about, meaning a poor unfortunate (or deserved) soul will eventually cross his path and end up dead.
Deep down Joe loves to kill, it’s only now with Kate’s power and influence that he has the ability to kill with impunity. Knowing he’s protected, Joe can get sloppy as he looks for any reason to chase the excitement of the murder, especially if he can justify it through virtuous reasoning, such as protecting himself and Kate.

Will Joe’s past continue to haunt him?
Despite his power and influence, there are three major loose ends that remain unresolved. Marienne, Nadia and Ellie Alves.
After refusing to cooperate with Joe, Nadia is currently in jail after being charged with her boyfriend’s murder. In time, there may be a way to release her.
We’re not even sure Joe knows Marienne’s alive. It’s better for her if it continues like this. Her daughter, Juliette, is the main reason why Marienne will never reveal her existence to Joe, but when Marienne decides to bring him to justice, she needs help.

Finally, there is Ellie, Delilah’s sister, who was killed by Love Quinn. While Joe was still in the US, he regularly sent money to Ellie while she was in college in New York City. After Joe faked his death and moved to England, it’s unclear if those payments continued. Joe’s return to the United States is a story of great fascination, which has been made extremely public, as Kate has used her power and influence to control the story and make Joe a victim of his ex-wife Love Quinn. If Ellie can connect the dots and realize Joe’s role in Delilah’s death, then she can try to get revenge on her sister’s behalf.

It should be noted that Jenna Ortega was supposed to appear in the fourth season of you, but her busy schedule prevented her from reprising her role. However, if there is time in her schedule to return, we may be able to see her you again.

Finally, there was a month between the first and second half of the fourth season.
Judging by the previous releases, it could be about thirteen to sixteen months before we see the final season of you on Netflix. This means we could see you season 5 on Netflix sometime between April 2024 and July 2024.
