A MOM has shared her affordable bathing suit, including one that really flatters her curves.
Chauncey is a stay-at-home mom who is 5 feet 8 inches tall and runs between sizes, making it hard to find clothes that fit her.
She shares her fashion journeys and adventures in her mother’s life with her more than 84,000 followers on TikTok under the name @TheBalancedMama.
In a recent video, Chauncey shared the huge amount of swimsuits she got from Amazon, Target, Walmart, and Old Navy.
The first swimsuit was an emerald high-waisted two-piece bikini from Target that she bought in a medium.
“I’d say it’s very true to size,” said Chauncey, adding that the top straps were very adjustable.
“I think this is a really flattering top for my deflated bitties.”
All the bathing suits Chauncey bought were high-rise, because that’s what she feels most comfortable in.
“I have a little bit of loose skin below my belly button from my three pregnancies,” she said.
“This is exactly what I feel comfortable in.”
Chauncey called the next bikini her favorite of the whole series.
“The fact that Walmart is even able to make a bathing suit of this caliber blows my mind,” she said, showing off the navy blue bikini.
“I wear a medium in the top, it fits perfectly to size, and a medium in the bottom,” she added.
“I love this swimsuit because the bottom is nice and high, fully covering the back and tight at the bottom.”
Despite the top and bottom being sold separately, Chauncey said the price was still affordable.
The third bathing suit was a medium one-shoulder floral piece that Chauncey said she loved — this time from Amazon.
“It’s super flattering, fits really well,” she said.
The swimsuit came with removable cups that you can take out or leave in if you prefer.
The next Amazon swimsuit was a red number that looked like a two piece swimsuit but was actually one piece.
“It’s a little confusing putting it on for the first time, but I promise you, if I can do it, you can too,” said Chauncey.
She admitted the bottoms were a bit bolder than she would have liked, but advised customers to buy a sarong if they want to cover up.
“It runs true to size and is very stretchy, so if you’re in between, you could honestly go down a size,” she said.
The last two bathing suits were Old Navy and the first was a floral pink piece with underwire at the top.
“I love it for my big breasted ladies,” said Chauncey. “This would be a great swim top if you need a little more support.”
Despite being high-rise at the bottom, Chauncey said it doesn’t go as high as she would have liked.
“I wear a size small top and medium bottom, so take that for what you want.”
The last Old Navy bathing suit was similar to the pink, but this time in black and white.
“I like this one because it’s a long bikini top and it allows for a bit more coverage if you don’t necessarily want to wear a bikini top,” she said.
“If you’re a mom or someone who wants a two-piece swimsuit with more coverage, this is it.”
