Hogwarts Legacy has become a huge success among the gaming community. More and more people are immersing themselves in the Wizarding World every day.
While the current experience is already quite good, there are still some issues that need to be addressed. For example, some are unable to complete the “Take the Biscuit” quest, among other things, the tracker is bugged.
When a game gets this popular, platforms like YouTube are full of related gameplay videos. That said, the “Hogwarts Legacy” game category has currently been removed from YouTube.
Hogwarts Legacy (2023) gaming category removed from YouTube
Multiple reports indicate that the “Hogwarts Legacy (2023)” category is missing or unavailable on YouTube. That was the category under which all videos related to the game should be grouped.
The issue only affects new videos uploaded since the beginning. Old videos already tagged under the category will still keep it.
It seems that the category in question has been missing from the list for a few days.
So Hogwarts Legacy players uploaded videos under “The Dark Arts pack DLC” category, but now that’s also unavailable.

A few days ago, the game was removed from YouTube Gaming’s game list, so people resorted to “The Dark Arts pack” DLC as their category, but today even Dark Arts Pack has been removed from the game list.

Currently, new videos related to Hogwarts Legacy are listed simply as “Gaming”, without a special category.
Youtube removed “Hogwarts Legacy” as a subcategory in “gaming” in an apparent attempt to suppress this title. Videos that were listed under “gaming” in the “Hogwarts Legacy” subcategory are now simply listed under “gaming”.

The lack of a dedicated category will likely cause the “Hogwarts Legacy” related videos to lose visibility as the platform treats them more broadly.
Some reports suggest that the “Hogwarts Legacy (2023)” category was removed from YouTube three days ago.
The YouTube team is already aware of the situation and is investigating. However, there is no ETA for a fix yet.
