An 18-year-old young man was kidnapped, beaten and thrown into the Seine after being lured to an area in a Paris suburb by his girlfriend’s brother.
The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. last Thursday in the town of Gennevilliers in the Paris suburb of Hauts-de-Seine. The teen and his friend were attacked after trying to meet a 15-year-old girl they saw on social media network Snapchat.
About six men, including the 15-year-old girl’s brother, attacked the couple, with the group grabbing the 18-year-old and driving him into a car, where they took him to another location near the Seine where the victim was stripped naked and thrown into the icy river, reports CNews.
According to the broadcaster, the entire incident was also filmed by the attackers in an attempt to humiliate the teen before violently attacking him a second time.
After the attackers fled the area, the victim was able to go to a nearby pharmacy and call the police, who took him to a nearby hospital. Police said at the time that they were still identifying the attackers.
