Sheriff’s Office Seeks Public Help Locate Champagne Thief | NewsRadio WFLA

Sumter County, FL – The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to help locate a thief who stole eight bottles of champagne from a Walmart liquor store in The Villages.

On February 18, an unidentified woman entered a Walmart liquor store in The Villages and put eight bottles of Remy Martin champagne in a shopping cart and left without paying for the items.

The woman then drove off in a newer model pearl white Lincoln MKZ with tinted windows, a sunroof and a Florida license plate.

According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, the suspect is described as being between five and five feet tall.

The suspect wore a tan hat, a black graphic T-shirt with the name “AALIYAH” written on it, camo pants, white, gray and orange shoes and was carrying a black and white checkered Dior bag.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about the theft to contact the Criminal Investigation Department at 352-793-2621.
