Serious “Ernie” Eugene Chesser Obituary

Earnest “Ernie” Eugene Chesser was born on October 6, 1934 in Lamar, OK to Herbert Lee and Grace (Ingram) Chesser. He moved from his home in Mustang, OK, to Home to Heaven on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at the age of 88. Eugene graduated from Byng High School. He served in the United States Air Force for 10 years during the Korean conflict and the Vietnam War, and retired from the United States Army National Guard in 1990 after serving for 14 years. He married Thelma Scifres on September 18, 1960 in Oklahoma City, OK. He worked for the US Postal Service as a mailman walking 70,000 miles during his 28-year career, and for Hertz and Avis until age 83. Eugene enjoyed metal detecting, reading, planting trees, gardening and carpentry, especially building and add to his house.

Survivors include his daughters, Barbara Jolley (Lee Sorrells), Patti Chesser (Scott Turner) & Margie Queen; sister, Liz Hisaw; special friends, Jimmy, Joanne and Dekota Gutierrez, and Richard Saunders and family; grandchildren, Raschelle Majors, Nicholas Bird & Adam Jolley; Sahara Perrine (Dustin Perrine), Kaydi Bloodworth and Tristan Queen; great-grandchildren, Gavin & Katie, Landon, Lanah, Adam Junior, Jedidiah & Kyndra, Cody, Rylea & Daymon, Christian, Cash, Colt, Julian & Violet, Miriah & Duran; great-great-grandchildren: Brenley and Cannon; Nieces & Nephews, Debbie Lloyd (David Lloyd), Tammy Kizer, Mark Kizer (Tooty Kizer) & David Kizer (Helen Kizer), Robin Henson (Jerry Henson), Glenda Wilde (James Wilde) & Flint Ragan; grandnephews & grandnieces, Kyle, Alisha & Desirai, Melissa, Ryan, Kristin & Tiffany. Lynn, Emily & Megan; Ragan & Shianne, Hunter; CJ, Christopher and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Grace Chesser, his wife, Thelma Chesser, his granddaughter, Carina Saunders, grandson, Charles Bloodworth, and his brothers, Lee Chesser and Bob Chesser and his wife Murel, brother-in-law, Jim Hisaw , cousin Mickey Chesser; nieces Carrie Henley & Becky O’Brien; amazing nieces, Michelle Mann & Misti Ellifritt
