Local Mental Health Advocate Receives National Honor

A Newfoundland is recognized nationally for her work in advancing mental health care across the country.

Louise Bradley, former president and CEO of the Mental Health Commission of Canada, was invested in the Order of Canada on Thursday, according to Lieutenant Governor Judy Foote.

The launch comes a year after Bradley, who now serves as a volunteer on the Gathering Place board, was invested in the Order of Newfoundland and Labrador.

In a tweet, Bradley said it was an honor to receive the Order at Rideau Hall.
