ONE shopper has shared how she keeps her grocery bill low while making three meals a day and two snacks.
Halle runs the TikTok Hallebuttafuso where she shares her tips and tricks for everyday life.
She recently took viewers on one of her shopping trips.
Like most bargain hunters, she agrees that meal planning is key to staying within her budget while grocery shopping.
Using a meal plan she found in an app, Halle shopped at Aldi for a week’s worth of meals on a $100 budget, but only spent $85.
The plan was specifically designed to help her overall health, so it was high in protein.
Some of the meals she made were burgers with sweet potato fries, Mediterranean tuna salad with pita bread, and a pesto avocado breakfast burrito.
A groceries list
Halle had an incredible appetite, chopping up kitchen staples and everything she needed for the meal plan.
In total, she made 21 meals and 14 snacks with her groceries.
Here’s everything she bought:
- pumpkin squash
- Sweet potatoes
- canned tuna
- Kidney beans
- Frozen vegetarian burger patties
- Ground turkey
- bone broth
- chicken tenderloins
- Sour cream
- Feta cheese
- Whole wheat wraps
- Cheddar cheese
- Coldbrew Starbucks coffee
- frozen Brussels sprouts
- Dark chocolate espresso beans
- Pumpkin spiced cream cheese
Aldi is a popular place among people who want to save on groceries.
The store is offering a special deal to help families save money on Thanksgiving dinner.
Aldi is reducing certain popular items to their 2019 price, a discount of up to 30 percent, but you have to look for special labels.
Shoppers should look for the red label that reads “Thanksgiving Price Rewind,” which looks like a rewind button.
Already one of the most affordable grocers in the United States, Aldi thought now was a good time to give customers an extra boost, said Dave Rinaldo, president of ALDI US.
The US Sun compared five store-bought refills from Aldi to Walmart — the best isn’t the cheapest, but lives up to the hype.
Walmart recently made other news, as the retailer has closed 160 stores in the US in recent years and there are fears more closures are on the way.
