I am one of those people who is always super influenced to buy something that appears on my TikTok For You page. It’s definitely one of my weaknesses. Lately I’ve seen so many influencers on my FYP trying this product called Bloom Nutrition’s Greens & Superfoods, but with all the misinformation about health and wellness on the internet, it’s hard to know if the products are legit or not healthy for you. you not at all.
To find out the truth behind this viral product, I spoke with Julius Cermak, a naturopathic herbalist and nutritionist, and Jake Dickson, a certified personal trainer, to help explain everything you need to know about Bloom Nutrition before you start another one. impulsive purchase.
What is Bloom Nutrition?
You may have seen the Bloom Greens and Superfoods product on your TikTok account, but what exactly is it? According to their company website, Bloom Nutrition was founded by married couple Mari Llewellyn and Greg LaVecchia after Llewellyn “hit bottom” and wanted to take ownership of her health and wellness. Unable to find nutritional supplements with high-quality ingredients that actually tasted good, Llewellyn and LaVecchia started the Bloom Nutrition company.
The supplements at Bloom are marketed as “approachable and delicious health supplements designed to fuel your fitness journey and give your body the nutrients it needs.” Their best-selling product, and the one that can be found all over TikTok, is their Greens and Superfoods powder, which is said to help with bloating and soothing digestion.
According to Cermak and Dickson, it’s true that Bloom can aid in digestion when used in conjunction with things like a healthy diet and exercise. Plus, the experts say Bloom’s probiotic ingredients can help with the appearance of bloating, but they won’t give you a six-pack overnight. While Bloom Greens are all the rage on TikTok and reportedly taste great, it’s always worth doing your research before investing in the latest wellness trend.
Is Bloom worth it?
After talking with Cermak and Dickson, Bloom Greens and Superfoods is a well-rounded product that does have some benefits. But, like all wellness products, it’s not a perfect problem solver for everything.
Cermak mentioned that the serving size is smaller than the recommended serving of similar products. “Most superfoods recommend taking eight or ten grams a day, [but] the serving size for this one is just five ounces. So you don’t actually get as many nutrients as you would with a similar product,” he added.
As for the price, the 30-count serving for their Greens & Superfoods is $39.99 and the 60-count large serving is $74.99. So needless to say it’s a bit pricey – especially for a college student. “The packaging is small for the price. For the smaller option, you will receive approximately five and a half ounces of the product total for 30 days,” Cermak said. “I’ve seen an all-organic product with about the same ingredients that costs less than Bloom for eight and a half ounces.”
It’s worth noting that Bloom Nutrition is harmless, and if you’re interested in trying a product that will be all the rage with your FYP, now you can make that informed choice.
