PHOENIX – Two men have been taken into custody after what police are calling the “largest fentanyl seizure in Phoenix police history.”
Authorities say more than 1,000,000 fentanyl pills were seized in the raid.
In the run-up to the arrest, detectives were investigating the possession of narcotics for sale. Their work led to a search warrant for a house near Avondale Boulevard and Durango Street in Avondale, along with a vehicle for one of the suspects.
That order was carried out on Wednesday. Police say 26-year-old Francisco Delgado and 21-year-old Jose Molina have been arrested in connection with the seizure.
At least one weapon was also seized in the raid.
Both suspects were incarcerated in Maricopa County Jail on a number of charges.
