Texas Department of State Health Services partners with Walmart to offer public free COVID-19 vaccines

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) — The Texas Department of State Health Services is working with the Walmart on Coulter Street to hand out free COVID-19 vaccines and booster shots.

DSHS has partnered with the Walmart on Coulter Street for a COVID-19 pop-up event on September 22, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, to encourage and encourage families to get vaccinated.

This event invites attendees to participate in fun family activities such as educational skits, a selfie wall with photos, and various arcade-style basketball and spinning wheel games.

According to the release, health care providers will be on hand to answer questions about the COVID-19 vaccine.

There will also be a video wall playing DSHS’s PSAs statewide, as well as sound bites from local leaders, including pediatricians discussing the safety and effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Event attendees may be able to receive free COVID-19 vaccines and boosters without an appointment, insurance, or ID.
