NEW YORK –
New York, NY. September 20, 2022 – Connectiv, a highly successful event incubator, announces the launch of Cumulus, a new three-day event (April 17-19, 2023) that spans the entire ecosystem of innovators, investors and market leaders that change the future of food. Focusing on technology trends from seed or cell downstream to restaurant or retail, Cumulus offers three days of world-class learning, collaboration and networking opportunities on The Venetian Resort Hotel in Las Vegas. Food ingredients, food production, food delivery and even food sales are in the midst of massive changes and innovations, and there is no place in the world that has not been touched by the transformation. The chance is huge. The need for innovation is urgent. And Cumulus will be the place where the brightest minds from across the industry and the world come together. “Cumulus will bring all aspects of industry together at a time when collaboration, innovation and education are critical to industry and the world,” said Rebecca Sausner, co-founder and CEO of Cumulus. “Cumulus exists to catalyze the global food industry by bringing together a never-before-assembled group and helping them meet.” More than 50 thoughtful and leading executives from a wide range of startups, investors and industry executives have already committed to participate in the event, including founders or C-level executives of pioneering startups such as Babylon Microfarms, Smallhold, Monarch, Kea, Gelatex, FarmWise, TurtleTree and Grow lettuce, among many more. A total of 250 speakers and 1,500 attendees are expected at the event. “We are excited to develop such an exciting agenda,” said Avi Mallinger, vice president of content at Cumulus. “This is a unique opportunity to create cross-sectoral conversation and collaboration between previously compartmentalised parts of the food ecosystem.” From the venture capital community, investors from Astanor, Bain Capital Ventures, Syngenta Group Ventures, Planet Fund, Bread & Butter Ventures, Bloom8 and many more will be on the agenda or at the event. Industry experts from LEK Consulting, Agritecture, the Center for Advancing Retail & Technology, Boston Consulting Group and more will contribute their thought leadership.
