CHICAGO (WLS) — Iron deficiency is a common problem in children, especially toddlers and teens.
Iron deficiency means the body doesn’t get enough iron to produce healthy red blood cells, which can make children tired or even short of breath.
The easiest solution is to include more iron in children’s meals, which is often found in meat.
dr. Shalene McNeill, who received her Ph.D. In terms of nutrition, the children suffer from iron deficiency due to their growing needs, and that requires them to have a maximum amount of nutrition.
“If you’re iron deficient, it can affect not only your growth and development, but also your brain development,” McNeill said.
McNeil said parents should seek out foods such as meat and eggs, especially beef, as it is rich in victims that children often miss.
For parents who have picky eaters or are looking for new recipes to try, parents can visit Beef’s website: It’s what’s for dinner.
