Mindwash casts Camille Hyde and Ben Edlin in psychological thriller

Katy Keene star Camille Hyde stars in the psychological thriller mind wash next Chicago Med‘s Ben Edlin. The film is written, directed and produced by Beatrice Brigittemaking it the Gotham directorial debut of the actress.

mind wash follows motivational speaker Billy Seldom (Edlin) who is about to become a global sensation when a catastrophic event strikes the world. The speaker — known for his catchphrase “Think for Yourself” — lapses into self-destruct when his co-dependent relationship with his girlfriend Natalie (Hyde) takes a dent, per Variety. The thriller’s logline reads: “Billy is trying to find his place in a world that is now spiraling out of control and exemplifying the lack of individual thinking. Now he must ask himself if he is really ‘thinking for himself’.



An accompanying first look at mind wash includes a clip of Edlin acting as the intense motivational speaker, addressing the camera in what appears to be a dark and empty theater. He addresses his audience and asks them to remember the last time they really thought for themselves.

Along with Edlin and Hyde, the cast for mind wash includes Samantha Walker (American Zombieland) as Billy’s mother, John Van Ness as Billy’s father and Brigitte also as Chloe. Freya Saxon, Nicole Berndt and Franco Valobra are also credited with roles. mind wash is produced by Brigitte and also Nichole Galicia (Django unleashed) and Kazy Tauginas (The Equalizer 2). The film also includes a soundtrack by composer Wynne Bennett (Space Jam: A New Legacy) of Orlando Briones (Bully) as director of photography. Executive producers are Charles Reimer and Isabella Reimer.

In addition to portraying Alexandra Cabot in Katy KeeneHyde’s most famous character has also appeared in two episodes of Riverdale. The actress also recently appeared in a reprise of her All American role Thea Mays in the new CW spin-off series All American: Homecoming. Her filmography includes appearances in shows like the good doctor, immoral compass, Power Rangers Beast Morphers, bets and heather as well as a role in the movie The year of marriage.

Edlin most recently appeared in two episodes of LA’s best. He will also play Alan in the upcoming movie Circle as well as a role in the TV series Department of One, which is still in post production.
