The cooking event will be held on Saturday, November 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Southeastern Livestock Pavilion, which is located at 2232 NE Jacksonville Road.

According to the cooking event page, The Cornerstone School’s mission is to host a community event that emphasizes tradition, food, family and fun, while also creating relationships between businesses and organizations in Marion County.

More than 6,000 people attend the family-friendly event each year, and local businesses and organizations compete to see who has the best chili in Marion County. To be eligible for this year’s cook-off, all applications must be received by Saturday, October 22.

In addition to the featured chili competition, the event will also include a car show, children’s area, and music from DJ Rocket. Funds raised during the event will be used for the general needs of The Cornerstone School, including technology, safety and school-wide improvements.

Visit the Marion County Chili Cook-off website or contact The Cornerstone School at 352-851-8840 for more information about the event, including how to sponsor, host a chili team, or participate in the auto show.
