Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The workers of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) demanded an investigation from the CBI and protested the alleged irregularities in the implementation of a supplementary feeding schedule in the state. The party’s responsible state, Mukesh Goyal, slammed the state government over the issue during the demonstration held in Neelam Park on Sunday. The president of the AAP state unit, Pankaj Singh, said the party demonstrated on the matter at the district level in the state and handed over a memorandum to the governor requesting a CBI investigation into the alleged scam.
Singh asked Congress to keep silent on the matter and said APP will continue to fight on the issue of nutrition for women and children. Recently, Medical Education Minister Vishvas Sarang had made clear the state government’s stance on the issue by saying that the Department of Women and Children’s Development will soon provide its response to the concerns expressed in the Auditor General’s audit report. He denied irregularities in the implementation of a supplemental feeding schedule and said the audit report on the program was not final.
